About LenLey Housing Group

LenLey Housing Group was founded by Telisha Taylor who has a previous background working with children in residential care. She started her journey in 2016 when she became a residential agency member, Telisha loved this job as she experienced hands-on different companies, different children and different needs over the years. Telisha gained a greater understanding of Sexual exploitation, gangs, SEN, and ACES.    

She then later became a manager and ran accounts before she went to University. Telisha studied for four years at the University of Wolverhampton on 'Young People, Family and Community' and left with a 1:1. As well as having a 1:1 bachelor of arts with honours in Young People, Family and Community Telisha also has her Leadership and Management level 4.

While at University, Telisha worked part-time in a residential home that specialised in therapeutic approaches and PACE, She worked with the most amazing managers who helped her understand the management side of residential and the paperwork side.

During her time at University, she did a 30,000-word study on the mental health of care leavers when transitioning out of care and into becoming independent.

This is where Telisha found the gap, for children leaving care at 16+ to living independently a lot of young people struggled and felt like they needed that little extra support. 

Telisha left University with this in mind and started LenLey Housing Group.
